  Items like rubber track pads are essentially industrial products used in various industrial applications. Most people have never seen or heard of them. I’d say they’re not particularly common in everyday life. However, in the industrial sector, these items play an irreplaceable role. Therefore, when using them, it’s crucial for us to have a clear understanding of their composition. Let’s dive in and learn more about them together now.
  Rubber track shoe components include tread-side adhesive, primer, steel cord adhesive, and fabric-layer adhesive. The tread-side adhesive prevents mechanical damage and early deterioration of the track belt, transmits the vehicle’s driving and braking torque to the ground, and absorbs vibrations generated during the rubber track’s movement. The tread-side adhesive’s deformation is partly achieved through various patterned blocks and concave grooves—such as parallel, single-ladder, double-ladder, and herringbone patterns. The selection of tread block height and design should be tailored to geological conditions and optimized for enhanced traction. As a prerequisite, cost considerations must also be taken into account. The configuration should minimize stress concentrations, alter the frictional resistance that influences crack propagation, reduce the risk of sand and gravel penetrating the tread blocks and causing early damage to the rubber, and ensure excellent wear resistance, puncture resistance, abrasion resistance, resistance to cracking and chipping, flexibility, and anti-aging properties.
  The primer for rubber track blocks, applied as the next layer beneath the edge adhesive, effectively cushions vibrations and impacts. During operation, the rubber at the bottom of the track continuously deforms, generating significant heat. Therefore, the primer for rubber track blocks should exhibit low thermal generation, high thermal conductivity, excellent elasticity, and strong adhesion performance. The steel cord adhesive should possess high elasticity and flexibility, good thermal conductivity and sealing properties, superior dynamic performance and temperature resistance, as well as excellent adhesion to the carcass materials. The fabric-layer adhesive for rubber track blocks should have good adhesion to the steel cord adhesive and also demonstrate outstanding calendering performance. After assembling the rubber track, check its tension and tightness; excessive tension during operation can easily cause the track to come loose. Typically, when the machine is extended, the slack distance of the track around the drive wheel should be between 10 and 15 centimeters. Whenever possible, avoid rapidly starting or turning the equipment in areas with sharp protrusions. Do not allow the rubber surface to come into contact with mineral oil—should any oil get onto the rubber, wipe it off immediately. During use, prevent the track from coming into contact with other components within the equipment, especially the edges. Never use severely worn drive sprockets, as they can damage the metal teeth on the track. When the equipment is idle for an extended period, remove the rubber track, thoroughly clean it of dirt and debris, and store it indoors, protected from direct sunlight and weather exposure. As a rubber product, the operating temperature range for rubber track blocks typically falls between -25°C and 55°C.
